Twenty-four performances across six weeks in a working quarry, with no house acoustics to lean on. For 2026 in came Amadeus Acoustics' new ART::IP (immersive sound module), a Zactrack tracking system for the singers, a brand-new DiGiCo Quantum 852T and QLab as the cue centre — a show rebuilt from zero, plus a full layer of virtual instruments and sound design (bells, cannons, shots, organ, celesta).
Months of planning, then four full weeks on site preparing the system, a week of piano rehearsals with the singers and a week with the orchestra. Every new component was tested against the most reliable fallback we could build, and the whole show was automated through QLab over OSC so the operators could stay on the music instead of the machine.
Four shows a week, all season, with far more control over shaping and localisation than the previous rig allowed — a richer, more detailed sound across the auditorium and noticeably easier show automation for the team running it night after night.
